Criteria

Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC): Ebola disease case definitions[90]​​

Suspect case:

  • Signs and symptoms compatible with Ebola disease and an epidemiologic risk factor within 21 days before the onset of symptoms.

Confirmed case:

  • Laboratory-confirmed diagnostic evidence of Ebola virus infection (i.e., though molecular and/or serologic testing).
