急性髓系白血病（acute myeloid leukaemia, AML）是由骨髓、外周血或髓外组织中髓系原始细胞的克隆性扩增引起的一种致死性血液系统恶性肿瘤。
AML 是一种高度异质性疾病，可根据（骨髓或外周血中的）原始细胞计数以及是否存在基因异常分为数种亚型。[1][2] 请参阅“分类”章节。
AML 可为新发疾病，也可继发于既往治疗、已有血液系统疾病（例如骨髓增生异常综合征）或胚系易感性。[1][2]
