It is estimated that there are 14 million cocaine consumers worldwide. Nearly half of the cocaine produced in the world is consumed in North America, whereas Africa and Asia are below the world average.[1] In Europe, there is a large difference between countries in the prevalence of cocaine use, but most countries have shown an increase in the last few years.[2]
