New Zealand guidelines for the diagnosis and management of soft tissue knee injuries: internal derangements

Summary

These guidelines provide an evidence-based summary of the diagnostic management and treatment options available for internal derangements of the knee. Non-operative management is recommended for all grades of isolated MCL injuries, and includes the use of the RICE protocol and pharmacological treatment with paracetamol or topical/oral non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs).
