Reduction in total lesion count or number of inflammatory and non-inflammatory lesions in moderate acne: there is poor-quality evidence that topical benzoyl peroxide, when compared with placebo, reduced total lesion count or number of inflammatory and non-inflammatory lesions at 4 to 12 weeks.
